School Athletics!

Today Room 13 participated in Nga Iwi's Athletics Day.  What a fantastic day it turned out to be.  Our students ran like the speed of lightning, and jumped like they were one of many jellybeans!

Yes... there were many wins...and yes...a few loses...but most of all...our class still came away as winners!  Why...you may ask...is this possible?  Well...it was because we were there...with our peers showing them what we've been learning over the last few weeks....and some of us demonstrated some pretty good skills!

Nga Iwi

Nga Iwi is a brilliant school!. We have an area with an enormous lovely tree to relax under, and we enjoy the cool breeze that flows through the school.

There is a wonderful peaceful and shady space where you can have a splendid time chilling out with your friends. We have wonderful birds chirping and singing under the delicate trees.

We like Nga Iwi School because...

Nga Iwi School is a school that has beautiful shadey areas and cool breezes.  It has a playground that kids can play on and they have fun in the park.  The fields are big!  The kids play on the fields with their friends and play in the park too.

We like Nga Iwi because...

Nga Iwi School has a nice, wonderful shady area with a cool and colourful playground.  It has a hopscotch and foursquare area and turf with no holes.  There are long chairs to sit on and nice sweet fruit trees by the playgrounds.  Your friends will like the big fields because we play sports and games in this area.

Group Tapatoru

Room 18 Math group Tapatoru have just finished a maths session. One thing we  learnt to do was to read decimal points correctly. We learnt, for example, to say two point five two, not two point fifty two. It may be hard for some ,but others were on to it!.

Room 18 Maths

Room 18 have been learning fantastic new games in Digi Store.  In Digi Store there is a game called Fraction Fiddle. This game helps you subtract and add fractions, to make a whole number and create new fractions. We enjoy this game because learning maths is fun!
