Cheering Crowd for athletics!
You could hear the Nga iwi athletics team cheering on each of their own at various track and field events. Drumming and screams of cheers as each athlete crossed the finish line.
Our 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 year old athletes represented the school with pride. Unikey (Rm 16) made a sand angel after his first attempt at long jump! Jane (Rm 14) with confidence jumped really high!
The speed of the dynamic duo Romero and Jesse (Rm 3) allowed them to win their heats and make the finals. Java (Rm 3) with a tremendous right arm three a tennis ball and placed 2nd.
So many children won their heats and tried their best in the finals. We rocked the stadium with 4th place.............
We were very proud of the sportsmanship that our children displayed! Well done to the Nga Iwi teachers who took time to help look after our children and set up for athletics, special thanks to Mrs Sutherland and Mrs Johnson for all their hardwork!
We are looking for volunteers that would like to read to our children. If you are interested please contact the office and ask for Annemarie.
If you would like your child to join the Walking School Bus please contact Matua George.
