Korowai Ahurei's SPCA Visit
On Tuesday 2nd Whanau Korowai Ahurei went to the S.P.C.A. It was cool because we got to see the animals.
In the barn there was a rat named Dippy she went in the lady's hair. Then the lady got the guinea pig and it was black and the claws were a bit long. After that she got the rabbit out it was white with light brown spots. It looked like it like it was mouting because the hair was coming off. When that was finished we got to go inside the barn. There was a goat ,he had long horns and there were also small goats, they were hungry. Also there was a cow named Miss Moo. After we finished that we looked at the hens. They were digging holes. The best animal was the pig Chester. He was a kunekune pig. He had hard hair and white stuff on top of him to stop him from getting sun burnt. When we were finished we had to sanitise our hands because we were going to see the animals for adoption.
First we saw the cats. It was so sad looking at them because when you go close or put your finger near the cage it reaches out for you. Next was the puppies, they were cute but some were barking. I think it was because they were exited. After we saw the puppies we went to see the dogs. They were scary because one dog ran towards the glass and almost smashed it.
After that we went to the auditoriurm and watched a video and it was sad.We gave our donations. We gave food and money. When I grow up I want to work at the S.P.C.A and maybe our class could visit there again.
