The Tui / Mitre 10 Garden Challenge
Back in August, we entered the Tui / Mitre 10 Garden Challenge with our vegetable garden.
Today Miss Corlett and some members of the Nga Iwi Green Team, had a visit from 'Tui' (Gardening specialists) today. The lady was a judge in the competion that we entered back in August. She came to look at our healthy vegetable garden. She was very happy with the way our garden was growing.
We showed her our p lans and our booklet that we made with photos and comments about how the garden has been coming along.
We reached the finals for our garden out of 600 schools. We are one of 15 finalists around New Zealand. We are in the top 5 for the Primary category.
A big Thank you to Mrs Karen for all her help, support and knowledge. We appreciated all your help and advice.
Fingers crossed, while we are waiting to hear who the winners are.
We find out on Saturday 19th November on Radio Live at 8am.
We are looking for volunteers that would like to read to our children. If you are interested please contact the office and ask for Annemarie.
If you would like your child to join the Walking School Bus please contact Matua George.
