Whanau Ariki Volunteer Visits

Whanau Ariki has had some awesome volunteers come to speak to the chidlren about their jobs and responsibilities.

Papa Marsh who is a well loved member of the Nga Iwi School community came dressed in his Maori Warden's unfirom and spoke to the chidlren about the purpse of Maori Wardens and the importance of keeping the peace and helping one another.  We didn't even know that there were Pacific Island Wardens in the community as well!

Miss Annette whom the children see each day as a member of staff came in her Girl Guiding NZ leader's uniform and spoke about the purpose of Girl Guiding in NZ and her responsibility as a Brownie leader.  Some of the boys were envious of all the activities that girls get to do for GIrl Guiding.

The children were happy and asked lots of questions.  We are very grateful to both of these wonderful members of our community for taking time in theri day to share with our whanau.
